West Virginia has been hitting the recruiting trail hard all along the east coast. One place the Mountaineers are gaining a foothold is the state of Pennsylvania. There you will find wide receiver Tyler Boyd. When you talk about Boyd, one word comes to mind: Winner.
Boyd stands at 6 foot 2 and 178 pounds. He has been part of a 47 game winning streak and 3 state championships.
The Clarirton (Pa.) High standout has always had a liking for WVU. The wide open spread attack has always caught his eye, and he looks to play in a spread system in college. Boyd has said WVU is recruiting him the hardest and looking for a commit.
Before that, he will take his skills to Atlanta this summer and play in the inaugural Rivals 100 Five Star Challenge.
Boyd plans to make another trip back to the University City this summer before cutting his list down to focus on his senior season.
He currently reports 18 offers.
Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Notre Dame have offered to name a few.
Tyler is current rated a 3 star recruit by Rivals, and a 4 star by Scout.
