The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected two former Mountaineers in separate rounds of the NFL draft on Saturday.
In the 5th round, the Buccaneers selected linebacker, Najee Goode. A round later they selected defensive back, Keith Tandy.
Goode, who came to West Virginia as a walk-on, progressed each season as a Mountaineer. For his career, the recorded 157 tackles and 8 sacks while playing every position amongst linebackers. The 6-foot-1 244 pounder is known for his versatility and speed. He was recently clocked at running the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds.
Tandy is another player who experienced progression during his career in Morgantown. He was originally recruited as an athlete, after playing quarterback in high school. While his move to cornerback was shaky early on, he eventually found himself a starter and all-Big East player. For his career, he recorded 179 tackles and 13 interceptions.
Both players are expeced to arrive in Tampa next week for rookie camp.
